Elmo & Gang, Tom & Jerry

Sekali mau update... berabis hari - hari update! If nothing, really nothing at all!

But then.... I simply CANNOT not update about this!! Just have to share and just have to keep in my records mainly!

Recently, mom and I got a big order. For 2 kids birthdays in a row. And yes, I was thrilled!! We made an Elmo head, which Mom so beautifully did the piping... ain't it gorgeous?? But erk!! The colouring!!!! Gosh... please do not eat the cream - that's for deco purpose only!!

Meanwhile, I got the easier portion - cheat, I know! hahahah... I made cupcakes with edible Sesame St. images... love love love these images!!

Elmo and the Gang was the 1st project. The 2nd one was for the brother who celebrated in school. Red Dragonfruit jelly in AngKu Kueh mould. Loving these mold! Finally got them... YEAY!

The mom ordered give away packs too.... consisting of, mini cinnamon rolls....

Personalized Choc Chip M&M cookies on a stick...

Personalized butter cookies...

Shaped "transportation" Egg Mayo sandwich....

Homemade chicken nuggets....

All packed into a box with super cute liners...

And a small sticker at the side, so the parents knows what's the content of the pack (some kids are allergic to Mayo, nuts etc) [Don't you just adore the lion liner!]

All ready to go...

But of course, when there's a birthday, there's a cake right? So, again, I got the easy portion - edible Tom & Jerry images cuppies....

And a big cake - about 1.5Kgs.... Mom the the piping of course! Haha... this is easier, with the edible!

We had such a fun time preparing... There's actually another cake due on the 5th from this same order, but I'll update about that when the time comes!

Alyce, thanks heaps for your silly trust that I could pull this off without killing anyone! You're sure daring for doing so... but THANKS!! Aunty Alice and I had much fun doing this!! Keep 'em coming!

Noel is 8!!

Helllooooo everyone...!!! Been ages eh? I know, I know... sorry for the lack of entries... sometimes these days, you "think" that you've done something (like communicating the story) where as actually you have not! So it's like I've told you guys the story, but it's just in my head!
Anyways... time really flies huh? This time last year, the whole army of friends was here in Kuching, but this time, it's a quiet affair for us, since Dad is not back from his studies in KL.

Had a simple makan at home with the family, and just to make it complete - of course there was a cake.

He didn't want anything from the shop this year - only want mommy's oreo cheese cake, so I quickly whipped it up. The image on the cake is edible and I ordered it from KL (yes, I prepared this earlier - just in case he wants me to bake his birthday cake)

He had a great time, though there weren't any "physical" pressies, but he knew he is loved (I hope he knows that!)

When asked what he wants for dinner, he said just roasted chicken and mashed potatoes will do mummy. We'll wait for Apu to come home to eat lamb :)

His plate - before adding an Asian twist! We had leftover kolo mee from lunch (his uncle bought) and that went on the plate too!

I was SO happy that my mashed potatoes turned out great + gravy to boot! This is my plate :)

And despite no pressie from Uncle, Uncle bought dessert for us :) Ice cream with lots of fruit.

But this boy only cared for the cake!! He wanted to eat Mater. So Mater got he...

Although a simple quiet dinner, we had a great time together... we missed having Dad around though... can't wait for him to come home!

Happy Birthday, Son. Mommy love you.
